Growth History
Since launching our first analogue cable services in 1994, SITI Networks has grown through a disciplined methodology of organic technology enhancements and inorganic regional expansions. This dual growth roadmap allows SITI to deliver maximum shareholder value while upgrading India's core television distribution networks.
Organic Innovation
Continuous internal modernization. Upgrading legacy coaxial assets to high-capacity optical fiber, scaling digital SD/HD channel packages, deploying DOCSIS/FTTH broadband layouts, and launching online OYC customer service hubs.
Inorganic Expansion
Building high-impact local partnerships. Acquiring majority controlling stakes and creating strategic Joint Ventures with regional MSOs in highly populated states like West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, and Maharashtra.
- Cable business operations commenced by promoters.
- The cable operations of SITI Networks Limited launched in June as a 100% subsidiary of Zee Telefilms Limited (ZTL).
- Wire and Wireless (India) Ltd. (WWIL) incorporated.
- On March 31, 2006, Zee Telefilms demerged its TV distribution business under SITI Networks and transferred it to WWIL, which was divided into 4 companies.
- Implemented the Conditional Access System (CAS) in key metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
- Initiated mass digitisation across coverage territories through Headend-in-the-Sky (HITS) Services.
- Rights issue of ₹4,500 million was fully subscribed, providing robust capital backing.
- Became India's largest MSO (Multi-System Operator) in the cable industry.
- Expanded further across 54 key cities in India.
- Implemented Digital Addressable System (DAS) in Phase 1 cities: Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
- Offered 400 Standard Definition (SD) channels.
- Consolidated pan-India presence through strategic expansions in Uttar Pradesh and Central India.
- Started offering high-speed broadband services in Eastern region on DOC Technology.
- Implemented DAS across Phase 2 cities.
- Operationalised customer management framework through the "Own Your Customer" (OYC) system.
- Achieved 3 million digital subscriber base.
- Executed promoter fund infusion of ₹3,240 million.

- Ready to roll out cable operations in 70 more cities and broadband services in 8 cities.
- Achieved financial turnaround for the first time, reporting PAT of ₹90 million and PBT of ₹220 million.
- Fund infusion of ₹5,300 million by Promoters through Optionally Fully-Convertible Debentures (OFCDs) & Convertible Warrants.
- Acquired majority stakes and entered strategic partnerships with regional MSOs in Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Odisha.
